Accommodative Spasm

Accommodative Spasm is a failure of the eye muscles involved in accommodation to relax after focusing on near objects, resulting in transient myopia. Affecting one or both eyes, it is usually caused by an injury to the parasympathetic nervous system and can occur after head injury. The primary symptom is visual blurring at all distances, in many cases occurring over a period of months or even years.
